On 5th October 2017, an industrial visit to MIMOS Berhad was organized by physics unit, Center for foundation Studies For Agricultural Science, UPM in collaboration with Photonics R&D Laboratory, MIMOS Berhad. This ASPer Scientific Visit to MIMOS Berhad aims to provide industry exposures to particioants comprising lecturer, support staff and students.

A total of 43 participants were involved and exposed to opperations, laboratory facilities and research activities conducted at MIMOS Berhad. MIMOS also provided some training related with Photonics Sensors.

This training conducted by MIMOS Photonics R&D Laboratory is a part of MIMOS skill Development Program. This exercise enables students to apply some of the theoretical physic studied in the Physic subject of this semester.

The participants were also visited photonics laboratories and IC Wafer fabrication facilitiy. The program was officially launched by MIMOS Semiconductor Operations Director, Puan Nasimah Saadin and Pn. Zalhan Md Yusof, Head Department of MIMOS Photonics R&D.
